Combination Classes
At Focus Fitness we believe in cross training. With that in mind, we have created several combination classes.
YeS Class
One of the most unique offerings at Focus Fitness is the combination "Yoga and Spinning" class know as the YeS class. It is Allison's signature combination of the intense cardio of indoor cycling, followed by the meditative and restorative element of yoga. The YeS class consists of 30 minutes of spinning and 30 minutes of yoga.
Yoga is a perfect tool for cross-training and refining specific abilities and strengths. The “YeS” class is specifically designed to build a cyclist’s strength and endurance and introduce flexibility to chronically tight muscles. The posture a cyclist conforms to astride a bike contributes to muscle tension and imbalances. We have incorporated specific yoga postures in our YeS class to alleviate this.
YeS+ Class
Just as fabulous as the YeS class, YeS+ consists of 45 minutes of spinning and 30 minutes of yoga.
Spinning and Strength (SAS) Class
This class begins with a 45 minute ride followed by a 30 minute strength & conditioning class. Specifically designed for functional strength, this class will leave you feeling strong and empowered!
Yoga/Pilates Fusion (Y/P Fusion)
A total body and mind workout that combines the best of yoga and Pilates. Combinations of poses, exercises and breathwork strengthens the body, enhances flexibility and provides a unique exercise experience. This class pays particular attention to building strength and endurance of the core postural muscles to help gain stability, to protect the spine against injury, enhancing posture and creating a fit, streamlined shape. Our yoga/pilates fusion class will help you achieve great results as they intermix on many levels. This class tones your muscles, relaxes your mind and improves concentration. All levels welcome. |
